Iran’s Deputy President and Head of the country’s Department of Environment Sheena Ansari met today with Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev to discuss pressing environmental such as the shrinking water level of the Caspian Sea that was a primary focus of the talks held in Baku. According to Baran Press, the meeting took place on Wednesday in Azerbaijan’s capital where the 2024 UN climate conference, known as COP29 is held from November 11-22.
