Tariffs for rail transportation of transit containers between Bandar Abbas and Caspian ports have been reduced, aiming to attract increased goods transit through the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC). According to Baran Press, the move is intended to strengthen Iran's role and position in both rail transportation and international combined transportation. For a three-month period, the tariff for transporting a 20-foot container from a Caspian port to Bandar Abbas, or vice versa, using private wagons of Iranian companies will be 300 francs. The Islamic Republic of Iran Army is set to host a hybrid maritime rescue operation in the Caspian Sea named CASAREX2025. The exercise will run for three days, starting Monday.
