Gilan’s Water and Wastewater Company has partnered with Chinese firm PKE in a new agreement aimed at improving wastewater management and technology in the region, according to Gilan Governor Hadi Haghshenas.

According to baran press, the memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed between the parties will facilitate cooperation on wastewater projects and technology transfer.

Haghshenas emphasized the agreement’s importance, stating it aligns with the long-term Iran-China economic cooperation framework and will attract foreign investment while introducing advanced technologies to the local water and wastewater sector.

The manager PKE highlighted the company’s experience in implementing numerous wastewater treatment projects worldwide, utilizing modern environmental technologies. The company expressed its commitment to sharing its expertise with the Gilan province.

The initial project under the MOU will be a wastewater treatment facility in Rasht, boasting a capacity of 42,500 cubic meters and valued at $42.5 million.

به گفته هادی حق شناس استاندار گیلان؛ شرکت آب و فاضلاب گیلان تفاهم‌نامه‌ای را با یک شرکت چینی (PKE) برای پیشبرد همکاری در مدیریت فاضلاب و انتقال فناوری امضا کرده است.

به گزارش باران پرس، این تفاهم‌نامه که بین طرفین امضا شده است، همکاری در پروژه‌های فاضلاب و انتقال فناوری را تسهیل می‌کند.

حق‌شناس بر اهمیت این توافقنامه تأکید کرد و اظهار داشت: با چارچوب همکاری اقتصادی بلندمدت ایران و چین همسو است و ضمن معرفی فناوری‌های پیشرفته به بخش آب و فاضلاب محلی، سرمایه‌گذاری خارجی را جذب خواهد کرد.

مدیر شرکت چینی PKE نیز در این نشست گفت: این شرکت در سال‌های اخیر با رویکردی مبتنی بر فناوری‌های نوین زیست‌محیطی، پروژه‌های متعددی در زمینه تصفیه فاضلاب در کشورهای مختلف اجرا کرده است و آماده است دانش و تجربه خود را در اختیار گیلان قرار دهد.

بر اساس مفاد این تفاهم‌نامه، پروژه تصفیه خانه رشت با ظرفیت ۴۲۵۰۰ متر مکعب و به ارزش ۴۲.۵ میلیون دلار راه‌اندازی خواهد شد.
