Deputy Foreign Minister, has described the upcoming First Meeting of Governors of Caspian Littoral Provinces, to be hosted by Gilan Province, as a significant step toward deepening regional cooperation among the Caspian states.

Tehran Times – Speaking on Sunday, Kazem Gharibabadi said the gathering will take place in the city of Rasht on November 17 and 18, following a resolution adopted at the Third Caspian Economic Forum held in Tehran in February 2024.

The event will bring together governors from ten Caspian coastal provinces of Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Turkmenistan, along with governors from Iran’s northern and southern provinces. Ambassadors and consuls general of the Islamic Republic of Iran in these four countries, as well as the ambassadors of the Caspian states based in Tehran, will also attend.

He noted that the meeting will include discussions on strengthening economic cooperation, attracting investment, and advancing regional development, as well as on transit, logistics, and the expansion of the North–South Corridor. Environmental issues, including fisheries and the restoration of the Caspian ecosystem, will also be addressed.

According to Gharibabadi, the Foreign Minister and Interior Minister will deliver remarks at the opening ceremony, while the First Vice President is scheduled to attend and speak at the closing session.  

ایران اولین اجلاس استانداران ساحلی دریای خزر را برگزار می‌کند

معاون وزیر امور خارجه، اولین اجلاس استانداران استان‌های ساحلی دریای خزر که به میزبانی استان گیلان برگزار می‌شود را گامی مهم در جهت تعمیق همکاری‌های منطقه‌ای بین کشورهای حاشیه دریای خزر توصیف کرد.

تهران تایمز – کاظم غریب‌آبادی روز یکشنبه گفت: این گردهمایی ۲۷ و ۲۸ آبان در رشت و پس از قطعنامه‌ای که در سومین مجمع اقتصادی دریای خزر در فوریه ۲۰۲۴ در تهران مصوب شد، برگزار خواهد شد.

این رویداد، استانداران ده استان ساحلی دریای خزر از کشورهای روسیه، قزاقستان، آذربایجان و ترکمنستان را به همراه استانداران استان‌های شمالی و جنوبی ایران گرد هم خواهد آورد. سفرا و سرکنسول‌های جمهوری اسلامی ایران در این چهار کشور و همچنین سفرای کشورهای حاشیه دریای خزر مستقر در تهران نیز در این اجلاس شرکت خواهند کرد.

وی خاطرنشان کرد که این اجلاس شامل بحث‌هایی در مورد تقویت همکاری‌های اقتصادی، جذب سرمایه‌گذاری و پیشبرد توسعه منطقه‌ای و همچنین ترانزیت، لجستیک و گسترش کریدور شمال-جنوب خواهد بود. مسائل زیست‌محیطی، از جمله شیلات و احیای اکوسیستم دریای خزر، نیز مورد بررسی قرار خواهد گرفت.

به گفته غریب‌آبادی، وزیر امور خارجه و وزیر کشور در مراسم افتتاحیه و معاون اول رئیس جمهور در جلسه اختتامیه شرکت و سخنرانی خواهند کرد.
