Poland will never forget the kindness shown by the people of Gilan during World War II, the country’s chargé d’affaires in Iran, Marchin Wilczek, said during a recent visit to the province.

According to Baran Press, Wilczek, meeting with Gilan Governor Dr. Hadi Haghshenas, expressed gratitude for the warm welcome Polish citizens received in Anzali and the wider region during the war, a memory he said would never be forgotten.

He noted the 550-year relationship provides a strong foundation for future collaboration, particularly in cultural exchange, expressing hope his visit would further strengthen ties.

مارچین ویلچک، کاردار لهستان در ایران، در سفر اخیر خود گیلان گفت: لهستان هرگز مهربانی مردم گیلان را در طول جنگ جهانی دوم فراموش نخواهد کرد.

به گزارش باران پرس، ویلچک در دیدار با دکتر هادی حق‌شناس، استاندار گیلان، با قدردانی از میزبانی مردم گیلان گفت: خاطره مهمان‌نوازی مردم انزلی و گیلان، در طول جنگ، هرگز از یاد ملت لهستان نخواهد رفت.

او با تاکید بر تقویت بیشتر روابط دو کشور خاطرنشان کرد: ۵۵۰ سال رابطه، پایه و اساس محکمی برای همکاری‌های آینده، به ویژه در زمینه فرهنگی، فراهم می‌کند.
