Dr. Hadi Haqshenas, has underscored the strategic importance of the Astara Special Economic Port in fostering foreign trade and cargo transit.

According to Baran Press, during a recent visit to Astara, Dr. Haqshenas reported progress on the overpass bridge project, the railway route, and the connection of 1,400 meters of track to the border.

He stated that, based on agreements between Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan, the core aspects of the project are slated to become operational by the end of the current year.

Highlighting Astara’s strategic position in the northwest of Iran and its border with the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Governor emphasized the county’s significant economic potential, which he believes warrants dedicated focus.

دکتر هادی حق شناس بر نقش راهبردی بندر ویژه اقتصادی آستارا در توسعه تجارت خارجی و ترانزیت کالا تاکید کرد.

به گزارش باران پرس، دکتر حق شناس در سفر به آستارا از پیشرفت پروژه پل روگذر، مسیر ریلی و ۱۴۰۰ متر خط متصل به مرز خبر داد.

وی اظهار داشت: طبق توافقات میان ایران و جمهوری آذربایجان، بخش اصلی این طرح تا پایان امسال به بهره‌برداری خواهد رسید.

حق شناس با اشاره به موقعیت استراتژیک آستارا در شمال‌غرب کشور و هم‌مرزی با جمهوری آذربایجان، اظهار داشت: این شهرستان ظرفیت‌های ارزشمندی در حوزه اقتصادی دارد که باید به‌طور ویژه مورد توجه قرار گیرد.
