An informal proposal has been made to host the next World Free Zones Conference in Iran, according to the Secretary of the Supreme Council of Free Zones. The potential bid emerged during the 11th World Free Zones Congress held recently in China.

According to Baran Press, Reza Masrour, the Secretary, reported holding “effective and constructive meetings” with heads of free zones from numerous countries, including China, Oman, the UAE, Colombia, Jamaica, Serbia, Nigeria, Ghana, Egypt, and Brazil, during the congress.

“Good agreements were reached in the field of digital economy, which can help develop Iran’s economic and technological cooperation internationally,” Masrour stated, highlighting the positive outcomes of the meetings.

The 11th World Free Zones Congress is taking place from October 10-12 in Haikou, China. A decision on the location of the next conference is expected to be announced in the coming months.

به گفته دبیر شورای عالی مناطق آزاد، در یازدهمین کنگره جهانی مناطق آزاد که اخیراً در چین برگزار شد، پیشنهادی غیررسمی برای میزبانی کنفرانس جهانی مناطق آزاد بعدی در ایران ارائه شده است.

به گزارش باران پرس، رضا مسرور در حاشیه یازدهمین کنگره جهانی مناطق آزاد از برگزاری نشست‌های موثر و سازنده با روسای کل مناطق آزاد کشورهای چین، عمان، امارات، کلمبیا، جامائیکا، صربستان، نیجریه، غنا، مصر، برزیل و چند کشور دیگر خبر داد.

وی با اشاره به نتایج مثبت این دیدارها گفت: در این جلسات توافقات خوبی در حوزه اقتصاد دیجیتال صورت گرفت که می‌تواند به توسعه همکاری‌های اقتصادی و فناورانه ایران در سطح بین‌المللی کمک کند.

گفتنی است یازدهمین کنگره جهانی مناطق آزاد از ۱۰ تا ۱۲ اکتبر در شهر هایکو چین برگزار در حال برگزاری است. انتظار می‌رود تصمیم در مورد محل برگزاری کنفرانس بعدی در ماه‌های آینده اعلام شود.
