Rasht residents and officials commemorated the 103rd anniversary of the martyrdom of Mirza Kuchak Khan Jangali on December 2nd, 2024, with a ceremony held in the Soleyman-Darab neighborhood. According to Baran Press, Mirza Yunus Ostad Sara'i, known as Mirza Kuchak Khan Jangali (1880-1921) was a prominent early 20th-century revolutionary and national hero who led the Nehzat-e Jangal (Jungle Movement), a significant rebellion based in the forests of Gilan province.
